It's the middle of the workday, so the only person who really gets to look at the game now is my daughter - who is camped in front of the TV as I write this. Me? I'll have a shot at the expansion this evening.

Thanks alot for reminding me of the painful fact of different release dates between USA and Europe.

ou'd think with digital distribution, things might be different, but nooooooo, can't release it if it's not available physically in stores as well.

This smells like a holdover from the differential release dates for movies and TV shows. That's changing for movies, as even the dimbulbs at the MPAA have figured out that staggered release dates encourage piracy.

The TV mavens haven't grasped it yet, nor have game vendors...

More of a question of competition between online and physical sales, I think.

At least the gap isn't as large as it used to be for movies/TV shows, I find myself willing to wait an extra week instead of resorting to piracy, however painful it might be :)
